NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Glencliff High School in South Nashville was placed on lockdown Friday morning after a staff member heard students discussing a threat.
According to a Metro Nashville Public Schools spokesperson, the staff member told administrators the students were discussing the possibility of a weapon on campus.
School Resource Officers (SROs) were notified and a student was located and searched, but no weapons were found, according to the district.
That student identified another person, but when administrators and SROs attempted to locate them, they discovered the student had left the classroom without permission.
The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution while the search continued. The second student was located, searched and no weapon was found.
