NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman involved in a fight at an Opry Mills restaurant that caused a mass evacuation Saturday has turned herself in to Metro police, officials say.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Alexandria Dady, 29, was involved in a domestic incident at Chili’s on Saturday.
Dady reportedly entered the restaurant and assaulted a man who was working there — believed to be her ex-boyfriend— by throwing a glass cup at him. The fight spilled outside and led to the calls of shots fired as people started to flee the mall or shelter in place.
According to court records, Dady allegedly forced the man outside and into a black Dodge Challenger, not allowing him to exit until he managed to get out of the vehicle near Hermitage.
Authorities said despite the chaos, no evidence of gunfire was found at the scene. The popping sounds heard by patrons are believed to have been from broken glass.
Dady is charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond is set at $40,000.
