NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle while her car was broken down along Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch, according to law enforcement.
The crash occurred around 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Murfreesboro Pike near the Rutherford County Line.
According to reports, the woman’s vehicle broke down in the area, prompting her to exit and begin walking down a turn lane.
Another vehicle driving down that lane swerved to avoid crashing into the woman, causing the vehicle behind it to swerve in the other direction to avoid crashing into the first vehicle. The second vehicle reportedly struck the woman.
Officials said she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No additional information was available as the investigation remains ongoing.
