In a press release, the MNPD said a shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. on Friday in the 2900 block of Baby Ruth Lane. A family member of the woman called police after discovering Cheron Sanders, 47 and her boyfriend Eric Lebron Hale, 53, fatally shot in their apartment, reports said.
A Metro police investigation reportedly found that Hale fatally shot Sanders before turning the gun on himself.
The MNPD added that Hale was previously charged with felony aggravated assault in March 2024 after a domestic incident involving Sanders. Authorities said that charge was later dropped in July 2024.
