CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least one person was injured after an argument escalated to a shooting inside a Clarksville Walmart Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The Clarksville Police Department said officers and deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) were sent to the Walmart in the 1600 block of Ft. Campbell Boulevard at approximately 12:45 p.m. after receiving “several 911 calls” about a shooting that happened inside the store.

When authorities arrived, they reportedly cleared the store, made sure the shooter was not inside the building and searched the parking lot for the individuals who were involved.
Investigators said a preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting was an “isolated incident,” which suggests an argument inside the store led to individuals discharging firearms.
One person sustained “multiple gunshot wounds” and drove themselves to Tennova Healthcare, police said. Authorities later added that the individual was being transported to Nashville and their injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
According to Clarksville police, this was not an active shooter situation. All individuals who were involved in the incident are reportedly in contact with police.
No additional details were immediately released.
