NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly threatened to shoot employees at Opry Mills Mall.
According to an arrest report, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) were sent to Opry Mills Mall on Saturday, Dec. 21 to respond a call about an individual “acting disorderly.”
When police arrived, security reportedly informed them that a man was threatening employees at the movie theater and at Dave and Busters.
The man —identified as a 43-year-old — spoke with officers outside and told them that he wanted a refund at the movie theater, but he had lost his ticket.
An arrest report described the man as having slurred speech, watery eyes and being “noticeably intoxicated.”
When officers asked the man to leave the property, he reportedly refused, telling them he was going to walk back into the movie theater and get his refund. The 43-year-old was then taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
Two victims at the theater said the man threatened to shoot them unless he got a refund. Police said another victim reported the 43-year-old “pushed her as she was standing at the entrance, checking for tickets.”
Meanwhile, an employee at Dave and Busters allegedly told officers that the man was asked to leave and threatened to come back and “shoot you all up.” All three victims wanted to press charges, according to MNPD.
The 43-year-old man was charged with a slew of misdemeanor charges, including three counts of assault with fear of bodily injury, assault of an officer with fear of bodily injury, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and trespassing.
Court records show the man is being held in Metro Jail on a $21,500 bond.
