NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are searching for three suspects in connection with a Sunday night shooting in North Nashville that left one person seriously injured.
According to Metro Nashville dispatch, the shooting was reported shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22 from the 2400 block of 26th Avenue North.
Law enforcement told News 2 that officers at the Metro Nashville Police Department’s North Precinct heard the shots and came down to the scene, where they saw a male lying on the ground.
Police said the victim was brought to a local hospital, where he is undergoing surgery.
Officers at the scene said they’re looking for three suspects, one of whom had a long gun. Authorities believe the suspects had a car waiting on a nearby street because they’re no longer in the area.
News 2’s crew saw officers looking around the apartments in the area where the shooting took place Sunday night, as well as a vehicle with window damage from gunshots.
