NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Investigators are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian near Nashville International Airport on Saturday night, according to officials.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said the victim was struck around 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and McGavock Pike.
In a press release from the MNPD, the victim was tentatively identified as a 22-year-old man from Nashville; however, the Medical Examiner’s Office is still working to confirm his identity.

Officials said the 22-year-old was in the roadway, away from a crosswalk, when he was struck by a silver Nissan. The driver of the Nissan fled after the collision, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional details about the suspect or the vehicle were immediately released.
