NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) β A house fire in East Nashville has reportedly left seven residents displaced, according to the Nashville Fire Department.
NFD crews were dispatched around 2 a.m. Sunday to a residence in the 1500 block of Jones Avenue.
Officials said one resident was rescued from the burning house and taken to the hospital for treatment from smoke inhalation. No other residents or firefighters were injured.
The fire reportedly started inside the house and spread to the attic. The roof was left burnt and partially collapsed after the blaze was extinguished.
According to NFD, the house operated as a group home, and seven people were left displaced. The Red Cross responded to the scene to assist those residents.
No information on the cause of the fire was immediately released as authorities investigated.
