PORTLAND, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 17-year-old accused of robbing a Portland home at gunpoint with two other teenagers will now be adjudicated as an adult for his connection to the crime, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to a home in Portland on Feb. 3 after a victim reported he was robbed at gunpoint.
During the investigation, deputies learned that 17-year-old Konner Davis and two other suspects, aged 13 and 17, held the victim at gunpoint at the home.
The 13-year-old and 17-year-old, whose identities have not been released, were taken into the custody the night of the crime and were charged with aggravated robbery.
Meanwhile, deputies had to reportedly work the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) to locate Davis. He was later taken into custody by the MNPD and was transferred to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.
“We will not tolerate violent juvenile offenses in this county, unlike other jurisdictions in our country. We will work with the District Attorney’s Office to fully prosecute these offenders,” stated RCSO Sheriff Michael Van Dyke. “Thank you to the Metro Nashville Police’s Titan Team and Violent Crimes Unit, and our hard-working deputies in apprehending these suspects.”
Davis was charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the Robertson County Detention Facility on a $15,000 bond, officials said.
Anyone with additional information about the incident is asked to call (615) 382-6174.
