NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men were arrested after two shooting victims showed up at a Nashville hospital early Thursday morning.
The Metro Nashville Police Department was called to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Glastonbury Drive on Thursday, Jan. 30.
According to officials, a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the thigh and a 47-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the knee arrived at Nashville General Hospital a short time later in a stolen 2022 Nissan Kicks.
The Nissan was reportedly driven by 66-year-old Thomas Rodgers, who told officers he didn’t know the vehicle was stolen. Authorities said he was taken into custody for theft of a vehicle worth more than $10,000 but less than $60,000.
Police told News 2 that detectives believe the two victims were wounded inside an apartment when, according to 54-year-old Katron LaWayne Kendrick, a gun he was holding accidentally discharged. He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a gun by a convicted felon.
As of Friday, Jan. 31, Rodgers is being held on a $10,000 bond and Kendrick is being held on a $2,500 bond at the Downtown Detention Center, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
