NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men were arrested overnight and charged with opening fire on a vehicle as it drove away from a hookah lounge in South Nashville on Monday, killing the driver and injuring others.
Metro police announced early Wednesday morning that Sadiq Al-Sahaf, 23, and Mohammad Al Rabiey, 22, were arrested after a two-day investigation. Al-Sahaf and Al Rabiey are each charged with felony homicide and three counts of felony attempted homicide.
Al-Sahaf and Al Rabiey are accused of firing shots at a Honda Accord Monday morning, killing 22-year-old Ahmed Amran and injuring two other men, both aged 23.
According to court documents, surveillance footage showed Al-Sahaf and Al Rabiey following the victims out of the bar before one of the suspects retrieved an AK-style pistol from his vehicle. He allegedly rushed toward the victim’s Honda Accord and fired several shots. The Accord drove a short distance down Nolensville Pike before it crashed into a law office.

Amran was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the two additional victims were brought to area hospitals for treatment.
Officials reported finding high-caliber bullet casings outside the hookah lounge which were consistent with the AK-style gun used in the shooting. Additionally, reports said an autopsy revealed the victim was shot with the same type of high-caliber bullet.
