LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Lebanon police officer found a stolen vehicle outside a hotel Friday, which led to investigators discovering hundreds of pieces of stolen mail.
The Lebanon Police Department said an officer on routine patrol located a Range Rover in the parking lot of the Avid Hotel along South Hartmann Drive on Friday, Feb. 7 that had been stolen from Missouri.
Authorities said they found and detained two people inside the hotel who were determined to be in possession of the stolen car.
According to officials, as a result of their investigation, detectives and officers discovered hundreds of pieces of mail that had been stolen locally and nationally, as well as materials to create fake IDs and credit cards.


Law enforcement said a 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from California, were arrested on several criminal charges.
“We are thankful for our dedicated officers and detectives who work diligently and collaboratively every day to serve our citizens and community!” the Lebanon Police Department posted on Sunday, Feb. 9.
No additional details have been released about this ongoing investigation, including the identities of the individuals who were arrested or the charges they face.
