GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly a week after learning about a deadly shooting involving a goose in Gallatin, law enforcement announced two people have been taken into custody.
The Gallatin Police Department said it was notified on Monday, Jan. 20 about an incident at Lock 4 Park involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and four people suspected of shooting a goose.
On Friday, Jan. 24, officials posted a picture showing three individuals who were reportedly seen using a shotgun at the Lock 4 lake access to kill a goose before leaving the area in a Chevy Tahoe.
Gallatin authorities said they worked with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) to investigate the incident. As a result, two people have been arrested and the dead goose has been recovered.
“The Gallatin Police Department and TWRA remain committed to protecting wildlife and ensuring that those responsible for illegal activities are held accountable,” police said in a statement on Sunday, Jan. 26.
No additional details have been released about this case, including the identities of the individuals taken into custody or the charges they face.
