MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — One person was airlifted to a Nashville hospital after suffering serious injuries in a crash overnight, according to Montgomery County authorities.
In a press release, the Clarksville Police Department said the crash occurred late Saturday night in the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 near mile marker 10.
The interstate was closed as first responders worked to evacuate the injured individual by helicopter, officials said. They were then transported to a Nashville hospital.
The road was reopened just before 11:30 p.m.
The CPD said the Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. No additional information on the cause of the crash was immediately released.
